Testimonials

“I came across Espy’s courses after being academically dismissed from law school. After performing the typical 1L mistakes and enduring some personal difficulties, I doubted my choice to continue my legal education. I met with Espy; she was knowledgeable, honest, and kind. She encouraged me to continue, and her advice not only led to a change in my study habits but also improved the way I approached law in school in general. Over the following months, she helped me target the areas that had been my downfall. I ended my second 1L year with a high GPA and in a much better place mentally.

— Carolina G., 2L at NSU Shepard Broad College of Law

“After attending Espy’s masterclass on How to Keep Running the Law School Marathon, I knew that I wanted to work with her. She had the know-how, wisdom, and mental fortitude that I desperately needed as a first-gen student navigating 1L. Warrior in Law has made an enormous difference in my journey. I have learned many practical tips and tricks that I was not getting at school. I also learned to focus on the long-term, with needed reminders to prioritize self-care in order to create a strong foundation for my legal career. Espy is amazing!”

— Mariela , 1L at Osgoode Hall Law School

“Esperanza is a wealth of knowledge regarding all things law school. From strategic reading, to outlining and exams, she knows it all. Although I worked in the legal field prior to law school, I had no idea just how different the academic experience would be. Preparing for final exams with Warrior in Law was crucial to my academic success during my first year of law school.

— Claire M. 1L at Berkeley Law

“I am incredibly grateful for my comprehensive and dynamic experience with Warrior in Law. It provided me with a solid foundation in key legal concepts and critical thinking skills; and equipped me with valuable test-taking strategies that boosted my confidence and performance. I highly recommend Warrior in Law to anyone pursuing a legal education.”

FAQs

  • "I don’t think I have time for this, I already have too much on my plate..."

I get it. 'Free time' in law school is literally inexistent. However:

    (1) Time commitment: everything in these courses has been condensed because we know that law students don't have time. Lessons are short and to the point. No extra fluff.

    (2) Return on investment: under a cost-benefit analysis (torts law!), the cost here is both in $ and time. Time-wise, see (1) above. As for the benefit, you can become a top law student, access the best job opportunities, and gain a long-term skill that will allow you to decrease your stress and anxiety levels. Not doing well your first year will impact the job opportunities you get access to. Is the cost worth the benefit? I know it is — but that’s up to you to decide!

  • "I am a pre-law student. Are these courses for me?"

Not at all. It's *great* that you're already thinking ahead.

  • "I am a 1L and already got my first semester grades."

These courses are applicable to ALL law students, especially those who want to improve their performance/grades.

  • "I am a 2L/3L. Is it too late for me?"

NO! Likewise, these courses will help you learn or refresh key concepts, thereby improving your overall GPA. Learning the skill of 'Strategic Outlining' is especially useful for the Bar Exam; and so are the courses on Excelling on Law School Exams' and 'Mastering Legal Writing' (which open in late October).

  • How long will I have access to the course?

All students have access for one year from the date of purchase. And if you need more time because of personal circumstances, just email us and we'll make it work for you ;)

Hi, I'm Espy!

I am an immigration attorney, author, and emotional intelligence educator. Originally from the Canary Islands (Spain), I hold an LL.B. in Law from ICADE (Madrid), an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a J.D. from the University of Arizona.

As an immigrant in the US, graduating as a top law student was not an option for me. It was a necessity; so I had to fight my way up. While at Arizona, I became a member of the Arizona Law Review, a Supreme Court teaching fellow (TA), a Torts fellow (TA), and a Legal Writing fellow (TA)—prestigious positions only accessible to top law students.

I have also navigated through various professional environments: from serving for two federal district judges in Philadelphia and Tucson to working at top private law firms in Madrid, Detroit and Phoenix; from defending immigrants as a detention attorney in Arizona to writing appeals remotely and becoming an online entrepreneur.

As the author of ‘Emotionally Intelligent Lawyers: How to Navigate the Psychological Implications of Becoming an Attorney,’ it is my soul mission to advocate for law students' and lawyers' mental health, raising awareness of the struggles we go through and introducing healthier ways to live and exist in our profession.
